Life Begins At Forty

Life begins at forty but I am stuck, I should do whatever things I needed to do but I feel like I am still not moving forward. I am still on the same phase where everyone found me a long time, I thought by this age I already explore the world but nope I am not. I am telling you, there’s a part of my life that I felt so depressed, I felt so left out and I struggle a lot, yes I have my own personal issues.

But I composed myself, I tried so hard to just let things flow, even though I did not achieve the dreams I wanted to have from before, life will go on. My kids are with me and that’s the most important thing in the world. So I went back to work, trying to suit myself for this new adventure and for two years I survived.

I think I will not stop working until my body will weaken, but I am hopeful that my kids are already achieving their goals, when the day comes. Their dream is my dream and I am here to always support them. And who knows they will be the one to explore the world, they will be the one to travel and experience other cultures, the dream that I thought I can get.

Does really life begins at forty? Does it mean adventure, fun or travel? Or is it just a continuation of another struggle? Whatever it brings me, one thing I realized, dreaming is not only reaching  for the things you really want, it can be achieve, when your kids will be the one to achieve it for you. And then I would say my life is perfect after all.

Nostalgia # 5: The Faces Behind the Ninja Turtles Group Name

Remember the Ninja Turtles? I actually posted it here.
Now to put a face on that group name, here they are:
I was tagged by my bestfriend Janeth, the one in the right side, wearing a watch in the picture, in Fb last night. I was astounded of how time flies so fast, it seems like only yesterday that I wore that uniform, that necktie and black shoes.
Since we had been friends for so many years, we decided to take a picture of us together in a studio. Lol, I look like exactly my eldest daughter in that picture. I missed my friends so much.
Left side in a sitting position : Master Splinter
Right side in a sitting position, the one who wears a watch : Michael Angelo
Middle, that was me LOL : Leonardo
Right side, at my back in a standing position : Donatelo

Love and Sharing

I was glad that me and the kids were able to go to church and was able to hear the mass from the very beginning. Although Faith was a bit fussy and really hyper inside the church and was always uttered Jesus in a loud voice, while the mass was on going, I was still able to listen the homily of the priest.

The homily started with a story, one experience of the priest when he hosted a mass, he saw a lady who got some bill on her wallet during the collection but the priest noticed that she puts back the bills and took some coins.

Sharing according to wikipedia is the joint use of a resource or space. In its narrow sense, it refers to joint or alternating use of an inherently finite good, such as a common pasture or a shared residence. It is also the process of dividing and distributing. Apart from obvious instances, which we can observe in human activity, we can also find many examples of this happening naturally in nature. When an organism takes in nutrition or oxygen for instance, its internal organs are designed to divide and distribute the energy has taken in, to supply parts of its body that needs it. Flowers divide and distribute their seeds. In a broader sense, it can also include the free granting of use rights to a good that is capable of being treated as a nonrival good, such as information. Still more loosely, “sharing” can actually mean giving something as an outright gift: for example, to “share” one’s food really means to give some of it as a gift.

On the other hand giving in general is an act or of to make a present, to grant or bestow a formal action, so giving of something you have may vary of sharing by heart or you just obliged to do it because you needed to, maybe because you are a politician candidate and you should set a good image and that is to give something that you have. Love to your fellowmen could also be the best example of sharing, even you are just an ordinary human being living in this world or community it is because you love them thus you are sharing what you have for them, a little sacrifice, that is one way of showing your love.

There is this commercial in TV, I just forgot what they had endorsed but the sacrifice of the wife to show her love to her family was a thing that anyone could easily remember, the wife in the commercial brought some things for her family and when the husband asks her what does she got for herself, she said nothing, but she is happy that she was able to make them happy by the things she gave to them. Love always had a profound meaning, you can never measure it, you may never understand why a person have to offer sacrifice to show that person that he or she love him or her so.

One thing I learned from the homily was Love is not a love without sacrifice and giving is not giving unless you shared it by heart.

PBWeekend 5 : At My Father’s Tomb

I thought we won’t prepare foods for All Souls Day since I ran out of money already, I mean I have some but that would be enough for our everyday expenses here at home, our electric bill increased this month so I am really trying to tight my budget, especially that Faith have to undergo again for vaccination and I have to pay the carpool of MJ this week on the day, the class will resume.

Good thing that sister Irenie had a little money to spend for this occasion, she message me if I could accompany her to the grocery store, I was with Mj and her cousin Dodong at that time and we were at the other mall waiting for my friend to come by, I replied back to wait for us since I have to let my friend borrow for my dress on her wedding day.

To make the story short we were able to bring food at the Cemetery and spare some to my father, we only put it on top of his tomb. We had the kids with us, I realized now that my family is getting bigger with the kids around unlike before we were only four when we visit father on his tomb. Faith was so noisy while pointing the sky and said “Mumu” that means ghost, she jokingly even created a howling sounds like dog does when they saw unusual things, we laugh at how she would try to scare the big kids who surrounded her at that time.
