Friend's Lists

One day when I opened my FB, somebody message to me in regards with her computer, she was in my friend's list so I thought it was one my blogger friends. And for me to make sure, I asked about her website but she said she doesn't have a blog and she even asked me what is that. I was not able to continue chatting with her because I was already in a hurry.

Now this time is worst, one commented my status so I replied her in our dialect and she replied she could not understand it. Only then I realized she is not a Filipino and she lives in another country.

I was wondering though how was I able to have them in my list. I found out it is through friends, good thing I have a separate FB, which my personal and tones of pictures stored. The other one was only for the sake of my blog.

A Very Inspiring Movie

After the "Every Child is Special" I can't help but to search what other movies does Aamir Khan have and somebody told me about 3 idiots. This guy really rock, I love the way he acts and he can sing too. The one that really touches my heart is the song "All is Well"

Went To Fiesta Today

Happy Fiesta to my sister's place, we just went there today after Mj's Kumon. She cooked dinner for us, we were their only visitors and Faith is already there making kulit to all of them. I could hear her voice just before we went inside the gate. Their fiesta celebration was so simple; most of the neighbors did not even care to serve foods in the table. Maybe the economy crisis is hitting to all of them, oh well not them only but all of us. My sister just cooked us two varieties of foods and we were able to bring some of it. So I don't have to cook for breakfast because we will just heat it before we go out to watch movie.

Dragging

Is this because of the typhoon in some part of the country why I got a low Internet connection. It was so fast a while ago and now it seems like everything is dragging. I wonder what time will I finish doing my ec drop and what time will I finish my updates. I am trying to comment to other blogs but it the site is not showing up. Waiting for it to load takes a lifetime, I guess I will have to hit the bed and sleep now. Sigh!

Plumbing Repair For This House

Winter can be tough, our frozen pipes ruptured and the plumber we called was on the job an hour later and the pipes were fixed.

A couple of years ago, I forgot to disconnect the water hose from the external faucet and water froze in the pipes causing a rupture. We found out when we went to use it water was leaking from the wall in into the garage. I was not real happy with this but I made a call and the plumber was on site repairing the rupture.

I always use the same plumber when I have plumbing repair that needs to be done. This house is an older house (built in 1971) and as things wear out I have had to call for faucet repair and replacement and work in the toilets when they were not functioning properly. I have had shower fixtures replaced and even replaced the kitchen sink.

Living near the water and having a septic tank instead of being connected to the city sewage system means I have to make sure it does not back up. This happened once, just after I bought the house, I was not informed that the septic system was due to be pumped. Well fortunately, there was not significant damage and my favorite plumber was more than capable to making sure there were no lingering blockages.

I consider myself pretty hand with doing some jobs around the house, however plumbing is not one of them. When I tried to replace the internal workings of one of the toilets, I got leaks from the tank. It took the plumber about 15 minutes to fix my goofs.

It may appear that I have had a lot of problems with plumbing in this house, but I have been here a long time and the plumber has never had to fix the same problem twice. I like my house and I am very happy with my local rotor rooter plumber.

Nostalgia # 19 : Engagement Party

Sometimes things happen by accident. On a day back in ****** a friend told me about ***** an online ******. I thought I would check it out. And as luck would have it after a couple of weeks and making a few new friends I saw a one young woman in there talking about aliens. When I looked at her photo she had a flower in her hair. I was impressed by her profile. It seemed very sincere.

Well I talked to her privately via the ******. And I began to know her better. I learned that her birthday was on **** 23rd and I tried to send her some flowers. As it has been with us from the beginning, the flowers and chocolates got there a few days late. By this time I had already developed feelings for her, but at first she was not interested in being “pursued.”

I was persistent and in early November while snoring I got a call at midnight from her. She said “promise you will never leave me.” Since that time I have come to know and love her more. Through many trials and tribulations I have finally made it do Davao to meet ****, MJ and the rest of her family. We have always been good together even when chatting on the net. And even though she was late greeting me at the airport. I did not give her “palo.” I will let MJ and Marielle do it for me. I have learned that Anne, is cute and sweet and very very makulit. I also know she is the best thing that has come into my life. I look forward to many happy years with her and MJ.

My husband wrote the letter above on our engagement party, he reads that letter in front of our guests. The celebration was so simple, but the foods were so yummy and the guests enjoyed the games that we hosted.
My husband is the man of my dreams; I never thought I could never meet a man like him. He understands, he is so patient with me, and he loves me more than anything. I always thank GOD for giving him to me. We also had shortcomings but we always overcome it and I am looking forward for us to be together forever.

Just Beautiful : Green Environment

It would be so nice to live in a world so green, I am sure there will be no floods that would happen. I hope to those who are putting up some subdivision in the elevated area, would not forget that we need trees more than ever.

Will definitely enjoy it

It’s only a few hours from Maryland to New York or New Jersey by car and as we prepare our home there for the girls, one thing we have to plan for is outdoor recreation. Now our house in Maryland sits on a half-acre lot and there is plenty of room to put up a swing set. My husband has looked at wooden swing sets new york and was impressed by the designs. He wants me and the kids to help him choose. I like the idea of doing things as a family, especially when it is getting things for the kids and for the house. I am sure the two girls would really enjoy a wooden swing set. Don’t know if they will enjoy it when it snows though.

A Big Sigh

My eyes grew wide when I saw three tasks in SR for me this morning only then I found out it's a **** sites. And even if they offer me big bucks, I still could not accept it. I shall stand within my category and that is no **** for all my blogs, I mean how could they give me those while they know I don't entertain such. Sigh!

Happy Kadayawan Davao

Today marks the kadayawan festival of Davao, although the weather did not cooperate but it did not stop the fun this morning in downtown. I was not able to go to where the street dancing was held because I was too busy attending my eldest daughter at the pool, yet nobody can stop me to greet the whole city a Happy Kadayawan Davao, I know you were bombarded with calamity recently but no matter what happen, you were able to stand up together with the people who were affected with the huge flood. I am so proud I live here in Davao and so let me greet you again Happy Kadayawan to all Davaoenos.

All Kids Are Special

Kids are different, sometimes they are academically inclined yet they are not into sports and they are not into academics but they are good in sports or arts. Parents should be very supportive on kids want for their lives not just help him to be competitive. I should admit that my eldest daughter is not much into academics I mean she can cope up especially the Math subject but I know so well she can explore more in other activities so I tried to enroll or engaged her to sports. The one that she suggested is swimming, everyone in my family know she loves water even when she's only a year old then, she never get too scared to be put on a sea water. Parents should know the capabilities of the kids deeply, I mean not only that you want him to be but also what she wants to be. We are just there to give them a hand of applause when they achieve their own dreams and not our dream for them to be. It is important to know the kids beyond so you can understand them, remember all kids are special.

This was our first picture together as a family, Mj was only 5 years old at this time. The one who took this picture was my niece who was only 12 years old at that time. Now she is already 16 years old and in college and Mj is already 10 years old and a swimmer.

Sleepy

It's miracle when Faith just obeyed me and went to sleep on her own, she lay down to sleep beside her sister. And just looking at them made me so sleepy too, so I guess I have to get my things ready here to sleep. Good night everyone and I hope you had a good weekend!

The 50 Meters Pool in Marbel

Last week, our team went to South Cotabato to experience the 50 meters pool, we didn't have the standard size here in the city so we have to travel for four hours just for the kids to train. In the video, they were reprimanded by their coach for the IM, but it seems like they were asking the same old questions even they already tried that how many times. Anyway, I just would like to congratulate Davao Sea Lions Swim Club for a job well done, especially to my daughter.

Valuable Asset

Just about every business these days depend on computers for a portion of their work. Whether it is to track inventories. Keep accounts or any combination of day-to-day business function computers are a valuable asset to any business. My husband tells me that business desktops are more durable than laptops used for business. They tend to last longer and are more dependable. Laptops may be portable and are easy to take with you but they are really not meant to stay up, and running 24 hours a day 7 days a week, when a good business desktop can do this.

One of the antiques of the restaurant we dined in during the short travel we had 3 days ago. It amazes me enough with how they preserved those decorations and even how old it was, it still contained such beauty that everyone must see especially with these 3 images near the stairs.

Off To Pack

I have to go and be back in a little while, I forgot I have to do some packing here because we have to travel early in the morning tomorrow for my eldest daughter's training. We're going to where we could find a 50 meters pool, and in case I forgot to tell you, yes they are having a competition this month at Kadayawan Festival, I hope she will win again.

Protection

It is hard for people who have dangerous professions or medical conditions to get life insurance. People in dangerous jobs, often those that can cause death or severe injury often find it hard to find a company that will insure them. But, dangerous job are necessary and higher risk life insurance for this type of job can be found. I have a cousin in the Navy and his job can be risky at times. People in dangerous jobs, need to protect their families and their property. So when things goes wrong, you still know that you and your family is safe, in this way of life, it is better to have protection.

Nostalgia # 16 : Best of Pal

The two kids in front is my nephew and of course my daughter, they had been best of friends since then. For my daughter, her cousin is her protector when she was only 4 years old. My nephew is always on the rescue when my daughter got in trouble with her friends.


My nephew is the one who always understand, when my daughter would ask him a favor. He would always do it. My daughter is also his audience when he likes to dance; he showed her his dance steps but never are we. And when he cracks some jokes, my daughter is always the first one who would laugh.


From then on until now they are always the best of pal, even how busy my daughter is, my nephew would always wait for her at home on Saturday so they could play with Faith.

This was the backyard of my husband at his place, he saw this deer one day and since I would love him to take some pictures, he did. Actually this was taken 4 years ago, the deer just roaming around at his backyard as if he was roaming at the park. Then he saw my husband took a picture of him and he ran away. Obviously, because the paparazzi just came and tried to capture his butt, just kidding.
