Body Pains

The heat of the sun was so draining today. I got a headache all a sudden but I have to stay at the gym to wait for my daughter. When we arrived home tonight I could not bear the pain anymore I need somebody to massage me so my sister went out to look for a local massager. She was the one who massaged me when I was so sick. After she massaged me, I was knocked out and I slept so hard. Jm was the one who closed the gate, the doors and the windows; I am always thankful of her being responsible when I am not so well.

New Lay Out This 2011

This morning, I thought I could not send my daughter to the pool because I slept too late last night. Ayvee was installing my lay out in my blog and I can't just wait to see the result of the lay out for tomorrow. So I waited until she is done installing it, so that explains why I was so sleepy in the pool today yet I could not take a nap because I have to finish updating and visiting some of the bloggers. I brought my mini laptop so at least, even though the connection was not that great I could still view some bloggers and made a comment through their blog.

Once again Ayvee of Designer's Chic, thank you!

Workout Supplements

Several times I have written about exercising, exercise machines and dietary supplements. Yes I still have not really been able to pick a routine to help me lose weight. I have taken up belly dancing and it is fun. But I was wondering if pre workout supplements can help me in getting results of my exercise faster? I am not sure, but am in the processing of learning more about them. As always I would advise anybody to know what they will put in their bodies. It is important to have a balanced diet and to get exercise. And it is also important that if you have any doubts about any supplements that you learn as much as you can about them and you can always ask your physician if it is okay for you to take them.

Nostalgia # 4: Green Rose [Korean version vs. Filipino version

Photobucket

I put F to sleep too early tonight as I was too exhausted today I was not able to wake up as planned to watch my favorite drama series on TV and that is Green Rose.

I have watched this series long time ago, it was yet the Korean version. Even though I was still working at that time yet I never skipped one episode from the said love drama series. Here's the video of the Green Rose, Korean version:

Anyway, I didn't find the official trailer of the series, hope you still like it.

Here's the video of Green Rose, Filipino version:

Even though they twisted some part of the story, it is still a blast.

Eye Wear

Our eyesight is perhaps our most valuable sense. It lets us see the beauty of the world and it lets us see things that can be dangerous. Well as we get older we may need to wear glasses. A lot of my friends do not need them to drive or see into the distance but they may need them to read. Clic EyeWear has some very stylish reading glasses. Now I am a stylish girl (at least my husband thinks so) and if I look at those reading glasses sold in most pharmacies or department stores, I really don’t care for the way they look. Even if I am only going to use them to read and only if I use them to read in the house, I don’t think I would like to wear eye glasses there did not look good on me.

No My Blog Log Next Month

The yahoo mybloglog team has been sending emails to all who subscribe them that starting next month, May, they will be no longer tie up with yahoo because the mybloglog is no longer in service. They are suggesting for all subscribers to use the Yahoo Pulse instead, it says that with yahoo pulse you can create your own identity, and you can easily connect and engage with the people, content, and applications that matter to you, wherever you are on Yahoo! I am just wondering if they also got a badge like the my blog log that you can put in your sidebar.

I Know Her

The world is indeed so small because when I went out this afternoon in the mall to meet the owner of the car I would buy. She was our friend from before; actually she is the sister of my friend when I was yet in high school. We haven't seen each other for so many years because we move out from the place when I was in college. I was the one who recognize her and she said I looked so familiar as well, so I asked her about the name of her sister, then we were both laughing, I mean by a fortunate coincidence, she was the one I am actually sending message and inquiring about the car.

3 Hours of Walking

As promised to myself, I woke up as early as 4:00 a.m., to join the way of the cross. I thought I won't get tired from walking since they change the route, it is much nearer than what we have from previous years yet I guess I am no longer used to walk for like 3 hours anymore because I feel like my legs were already sore just before we arrived at the 14th station.

When the sun shines on us, I could feel the sting of the sun as it touches our skin, probably one would give up with that heat that hurts already and the pain we felt for our legs while we were walking but the sacrifice that we did today is nothing compared of what Jesus Christ had experience in the hands of those soldiers. The mocking, the starving, and the trials he had encountered along the way to Calvary but he made it.

It is indeed so hard when you follow his steps. That was the song I always heard when we tried to reach the final station. And I am so glad that we were able to complete it, the tiredness we felt was then compensated.

Nostalgia # 3: Friendship to Acquaintance to Friendship

Photobucket

These two kids met at my engagement party, and at the pictures below they got along so easy and well. I guess my friend who is the aunt of Dj, was the one who took this picture 5 years ago. But years had passed and they were not able to see each other so the friendship was gone, they only became acquaintance every time they saw each other.

When Jm joined the learn to swim program, where Dj was a member. I asked Jm if she was able to talk to Dj, she told me then, she is shy to approach him. Jm make friends with her batch, while Dj has another set of friends, the same batch as his.

Months had passed these two kids became closed since they are in the same sports. They just love swimming; Jm still learns how to do the stroke, while Dj won medals and awards from last year's competition and DAVRAA this year.

Just ignore the so brown part in Jm's face,
it is summer and she is always at the pool

These kids are the living proof that the time flies so fast, it feels like it was only yesterday that they were just 6 years old, and now they are on their way to teen’s life.

Anyway, before I would end this post, I just want to say best of luck to DJ as he is going to compete in Palarong Pambansa next month.

In Two Weeks Time

My favorite drama series will end in two weeks time now, obviously not the Green Rose but the Imortal. It has been a week already since I got back watching my favorite drama series, I feel sad when I learned that the Imortal will end soon. Oh well, the lead characters done a good job, I really love the chemistry of Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz in this series, they are really look good together I just hope that they would be pair as well in the big screen, to the cast of this drama series, congratulations.

We Gave It to My Niece

A couple of years ago I asked my husband for a new cell phone. Well he found a place that sold unlocked cell phones and he asked if he wanted me for him to pick one out for him. He did not mention what the selection was, but he did get one he thought I would like. Well it was small and it was okay but it was not really what I wanted. We gave it to my niece. Now if he offers to buy me an unlocked cell phone again, before I approve, I will ask him to let me choose it. One thing about that phone though, he still uses his (the twin of mine) and our toddler, F, thinks it is a really cool toy.

Congratulations Elai

This is a late post yet I still would like to congratulate Elai for winning 6 gold medals in DAVRAA last April 9, 2011. I am really so proud of this girl who just graduated and finish her high school in Holy Cross of Davao College, although she is successful of her chosen sport she remains so humble and never been so boastful with what she had achieved.

I believe that when you won't let your head grow big every time you reach your goal, no one will ever leave you behind and you will always be successful of what you do. Knowing this girl, I know she would always put her feet on the ground, so Elai, once again congratulations for all your achievements and wish you all the best in Palaro.

This is an excerpt from Sunstar Davao:

Lora bagged six gold medals. The tall and beautiful swimmer, who was last year's Pambansang Palaro medalist, started her gold rush with one of her favorite events, the 100 meters back. She then struck for another gold in the 100 meter freestyle. This was followed with another gold in the 200 meters back then the 200 meters IM.

And oh, take note the 6 gold medals she won from the said competition was not a fluke, she earned her success because she worked so hard from it.

Now It's Hard

It is really so hard to update my blog everyday now since it is summer, I have to attend and send the kids to their activities that whenever I get home, I always get so tired and so sleepy. Whenever I open my computer, a thought will pop out but when I will start writing my mind went black that I could not even type anymore. Plus F bugs me every minute so I have to take care of her needs first like putting her to sleep, so on and so forth. Good thing when I put her to sleep a while ago I was able to wake up and do my blog task here.

3 More Days To Go

My youngest daughter joined the Learn to Swim Program nears our subdivision. She was so excited with it and everyday she asked my sister Merlyn for her floater, goggles and cap for her to wear it and she would head at the door to go out to the pool. She joins every other day as I don't want her to burn under the sun. I know she is always excited when her schedule is up, sad to say it is only 3 more days to go and she's done. I am planning to enroll her in summer class but I am not sure if we can still do it since it is too late for her but I will try to inquire on Monday if they still have a slot for her.

Nostalgia # 2 : During The Japanese Regime

Photobucket

Since we just celebrated our Day of Valour or Araw ng Kagitingan here in the Philippines, I would tell you about the experience of my father and his family and his older brother who is a veteran and was one of those soldiers who fought for us during World War II.

While my uncle was fighting his best against Japanese soldiers, my Dad's family had a slim chance to see him. Without my uncle's knowledge, my father, my grandfather and my great grandfather were captured and they were held in a camp of the Japanese soldiers, my Dad was only a kid at that time. They were there for almost two nights, if not for their friend, they could not escape from that camp and maybe dead at that very moment.

The general who happens to be the friend of my great grand father, secretly told them how to escape, this general was an old friend of him before the World War II began. When the general asked his men who were the captures, they lead him to the prison bar and so he was surprised to see his old friend, my great grandfather. At night time came, the general sneak in and told them to escape.

My great grandfather thanks him so much, but right after that, they were not able to see the general once again. Their family was still wanted at that place because of my uncle, but they could not blame my uncle for doing what he thought was best. Besides, he fought because he wanted the freedom that our country must have during that time.

I was amazed how my family survived with those encounters, the youngest uncle was the one who told me when I was just a kid, he always love to tell us those memories during the Japanese regime. He even added that they supposed to be one of those refugees in Hawaii, if only they were not late when the ship departed from the dock.

What Happen to Photobucket?

When I was ready to post an entry from one of the meme's I've joined. I noticed that the background of her layout was distorted, it seems like a code was deleted or something or that was I thought of, so I just let it passed since there's no update yet on that site. But when I was blog hopping, one site also had the same lay out. When I checked it, it says like "We're doing a little work right now, your image will be back soon." I am not sure what's going on, I hope if the photobucket had something to do with this, they would fixed it the soonest possible time, before it would affect my site or badge. You know, I always get my code from them.

First Time

Don't you know that it is our first time to have a bite of these Krispy Kreme donuts? Yup last Saturday when I saw this one displayed in the grocery department when I went shopping, I didn't hesitate to buy one for my family. It is quiet expensive compare to Mister Donut and Dunkin Donut but there's no harm in trying right?

This one is too sweet though, I am not sure but they have different taste with the two. No doubts, I like this one. I hope they would put up Krispy Kreme store here.

Please Vote Number 29

It has been a while since I started submitting a food entry to Food Trip Friday. I am a no good cook, I admit that yet I am a good eater. If only I have enough time, I would like to do restaurant hopping so for me to know which restaurant is the best in town. I cook but rarely, the one who cook for us here is my sister Merlyn and when we do have some occasion to be held here at home, I always seek help from my bro-in-law.

On that note, I would like to invite you all, to please vote for my entry in Food Trip Friday, mine is the number 29 and the title of the blog is Little World of Fun. Thank you!

Floods

Sigh, inasmuch as I wanted to stay here in front of the computer to visit you all guys and or to comment back I just can't do that anymore, since we need to go out early in the morning today. My sister last night invited me for a pool party but yay how I can join them when I have to be a mother for Jm, so better luck next time.

It has been raining so hard last night, good thing I haven't heard any news that there are some areas got flood unlike the other night, some villages was flooded. Some says it reach up to 6 feet high. My cousin's place was one of them, the river on their back already overflowed and it will reach to their house in no time. She and her son immediately evacuated to my other cousin's house, no one was hurt and only their balcony was affected, the water did not reach up to their living room so she was still lucky.

On the other note, let me say good morning to all of you and have a nice weekend ahead.

If you have an RV, security is important

Traveling around the country in an Recreational Vehicle (RV) has always appealed to me. I enjoy traveling, but I also enjoy being able to prepare my own food and not always eating in restaurants. By traveling in an RV is one way to save money on food and hotels. RV parks generally charge lower fees than hotels. Well an RV is quite an investment. Having rv insurance is important. If the unforeseen happens, having good dependable insurance can save your vacation and give you peace of mind. I hope to be able to vacation and to travel in an RV. I really look forward to this. I will make sure we have good insurance to cover anything that might go wrong.

The Dream That Remains A Dream

Photobucket

When I was only in my 5th grade, I wanted to play a ukulele at school when they are in search for ukulele music player for the choir. I was the one who joined the audition, and I was so happy that they took me as the part of the team. But to pursue with that course, I should have to have a ukulele, during the audition I just borrowed my friend's ukulele then I continued borrowing it during the practice but instantly she needs it for her school. And our school doesn't have extra one for me, I asked my sister about it if she could buy me a ukulele but she said no, since we don't have an extra money at that time. That dream was remain a dream because I was not able to proceed being part of the choir.

Early this morning, when we are on our way here at the swimming venue for Jm's training, I told her how lucky she is because she can attain her dreams, she just have to asked for it and, me and hubby are there to support her. Since she was a toddler, she already adored water, she wanted to know how to swim, and we grant her request provided with all the materials and gadgets needed for the training. Mind you, those were a bit expensive, sigh but it is nothing compared to the happiness I was able to give to my daughter. All I asked is for her to do well not only with sport but with being a good daughter to us.

Hail Storm? What it is again HON?

The other day my husband was talking to me about hail storm on his way home. He had tried to explain this too many times but I keep on forgetting what it is that whenever he would talk to me about it, I would asked him how does it looks like? LOL

On that note, I might just have to search what is hail storm here online. Of course, with the help of Google it would be easy for me to pull up the meaning. Here's what I found from Wikipedia:

Picture not mine

Hail is a form of solid precipitation which consists of balls or irregular lumps of ice, that are individually called hail stones. Hail stones on Earth consist mostly of water ice and measure between 5 millimetres (0.20 in) and 150 millimetres (5.9 in) in diameter, with the larger stones coming from severe thunderstorms. The METAR reporting code for hail 5 millimetres (0.20 in) or greater in diameter is GR, while smaller hailstones and graupel are coded GS. Hail is possible with most thunderstorms as it is produced by cumulonimbi (thunderclouds),[1] usually at the leading edge of a severe storm system. Hail is possible within 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) of its parent thunderstorm. Hail formation requires environments of strong, upward motion of air with the parent thunderstorm (similar to tornadoes) and lowered heights of the freezing level. Hail is most frequently formed in the interior of continents within the mid-latitudes of Earth, with hail generally confined to higher elevations within the tropics.

I guess this time I will not be lost anymore. LOL

Hail Storm Came On His Way

The other day, that was Sunday. My husband has to work for a couple of hours to deliver something in their company. When he was driving going home, there was a hail storm came on his way; he stopped for a while to let it pass. I thought he can't be online but I was so happy that the connections are still okay when he got home and that we were able to talk. Well, actually he was the one who woke me up because as always I was still sleeping on our schedule chat time. I am just so lucky that my husband got a lot of patience for me, he would only say "that's ok hon, but I have to sleep soon too" ah; this separation is killing me into pieces, but what I can do but to wait for the moon and stars to grant our wishes.

Three kinds of furnitures that you must look for

Planning the layout and what to put in a new house may sound like work to some, but to me it is fun. I really enjoy the planning more than the actual placement of the furniture and the wall hangings. I have to decide if I want to put plants in the house, what kind of curtains and or blinds on the windows and even the color of the paint.

When it comes to choosing furniture I want to make sure it is quality furniture. I want furniture that will endure. Our youngest, F likes to jump on the sofa, so it needs to be able to stand up to her antics as well as to the spills of two young kids. Quality furniture should be able to do this.

The next thing I need to choose is if I want more antique looking furniture or contemporary furniture. It’s my feeling that contemporary furniture is more comfortable and in most cases more durable than antique style furniture. I like the look of modern, though I do thing that antique furniture has a certain charm. But with two young kids, contemporary would probably suit us better.

Modern furniture appearance and design can really help me make my house a pleasant looking place. In is brighter and I can really select furniture to match my wall hangings and curtains. When I go to decorate the interior of the house, furniture is a major concern. Should I buy furniture to match the color of the walls in the house, or should I just repaint the walls to match the furniture? Well whatever I decide, I know I can make my house look the way I want.

Just like you are selling yourself

When we arrived at the swimming venue yesterday with my daughter and we seated along the club house, when I notice that they had an interview out there. There's only one applicant though, she seems nervous but I was glad she managed it well. I could still remember my sister when I was still applying for a job before that when you are in an interview, you should be sound like you are selling yourself so you can get that job. You should look and sound smart even you are not, you should answer the question with confident even you are darn so nervous already.

I guess the applicant got the job because the one who interviewed her told her of her shifting schedule in the clubhouse. I must say she sells herself perfectly. Huh?

It provides better service

One way to know who we are dealing with when we go to the bank or another place that provides us a service is to look at their name tags. Names tags play a very important part in the business world. They help customers to know who they are dealing with without having to ask their names and by knowing the name of the person helping us or providing us with a service, we can make that service more personal by addressing them by name. It creates a friendlier atmosphere when dealing with people in a work environment. It is my opinion that people who wear a name tag will provide better service than those who do not. It is easier to praise a person to their supervisor if you know their name and to report them for bad service.
