These are my close friends from the call floor, way back when we were still a call center agents in a certain company. We only seldom see each other since we resigned because Belle was already based in Manila, Che, the one who is in front of us, worked in another call center company.

We met up one day in my house because Belle would be transferring here for good, actually she will be under training for one month at the call center where Cheryl is working right now.

On Disciplining a Child

Years back, when a child did something wrong, one way on disciplining them is through being spank, and or command him to bend his knees in front the altar. My father does that but never did I instill it in my mind that he doesn’t care for me. Of course when we are in that situation we would think, maybe because our parents just want to hit us because they just feel like doing it.

I could still remember that whenever I got spanked, I would talk to my imaginary friend not to befriend with my Dad because he hurt me. But most often than not, after I was being punished, my Dad would always tells me that he only does that because he want me not to do the same mistakes all over again and that he wanted me to become a better person. I thought he doesn’t mean it and he was just lying to make me feel better.

Even though, I felt like my Dad never cares for me, I always take extra careful not to be naughty or unkind to my eldest sisters. I realized later that somehow my Dad’s way of discipline has a good impact on me, more likely on obeying every rule inside the house, being polite to the elders, do the house chores assigned to me, and most especially doing the homework from school on time. It also helps me to set time for me to get home from playing outside with our neighbors.

I think I will never be patient over all the things that I wanted to have if Dad did not discipline me the right way. I would never get to college if he did not give me wisdom to finish it. And I’ll never get acquainted to others if he did not bring me up properly. So for me, somehow spanking with a word of thought by the parents would help the young ones to at least be responsible with what he did wrong. But when you spank the kid too much, he would be rebellious, his life would be ruin and he would thought that he will never be good because he is always getting too much of it.

I know that hitting a child will never do anything good to them, but I guess a little spank for him to realize his mistake would also help him to distinguish which one is good and which one is not. Anyway this is only based with my opinion, and I am sure you also have some ways on how to discipline the kids today and please don’t take this very personal to you. You may offer effective tips that could help us parents to understand more on disciplining a child especially in today’s generation.

Decorations and Light Fixtures

I like a home that is well decorated. The lighting in my home should be stylish and help to show off the decorations that I have put on the walls. Lighting should accentuate my furniture and wall hangings. And I must say quoizel is one place that provides decorative, yet functional lighting. When choosing the light for my front porch I want something that looks nice, yet does not clash with the external appearance of my home. For internal lighting, it should be the same, light fixtures that will accentuate my home and yet, is still functional. I want to have a home that is comfortable stylish and one that my family and visitors will enjoy. Proper lighting will assist me in achieving this goal.

First off, I must be thankful for this day because Faith doesn’t have a fever at all, I am scared of she might had a relapse when we decided for her not to take any Paracetamol at all today, thank GOD that her fever never came back anymore. My marriage is not that perfect, but I am thankful because GOD has given me a husband who support me all the way, we do have shortcomings and we failed in some area of our relationship but isn’t it, what marriage is all about? On the other hand, I am always thankful that even though how hard it is to be miles apart from my husband I still was able to carry being alone taking good care of my kids, don’t get me wrong I am not literally alone, my sister is here during daytime to help me with some stuff and I must thank her for that, without her I may be gone crazy all over things here, not to mention that my eldest has a lot of activities from school to her training at swimming. I also received a lot of blessings from last year; I got more opportunities that I was able to contribute with our expenses here at home. Recently, through it, we were able to spend our New Year at the prestigious resort with fireworks in the island nears us. Nevertheless, how I still wished that my husband was there celebrating the New Year with us.

And I thank GOD that there’s no major, major emergency that we encountered last year and I hope and I pray that this year would be our year to be together and that everyone must have a bountiful and peaceful life.

I thought to start a business

I guess almost all my friends owned a business now, one is engaged with forwarding business, one is engaged with photo fun craze for birthdays or any occasion, one is engaged with selling clothes. I sometimes feel envious with how busy they are taking care of each business. Most often than not I always think of starting one for myself and my family, one of my friends suggested of investing silver bullion bars, she said it is the best investment for today’s generation and that I could make a lot of money out of it. I am not sure how does it work or what are the firsts steps to make it progress. On the second thought I might want to consult this with my husband, he must know all the details more than I.

I was browsing and blog hopping one night that I was able to stumble with the site, introducing a blogger from Dubai, at first I thought it was only some bloggers out there yet curious as a cat, I open the blog. I never thought that a simple write ups about life and journey could bring fame to a very ordinary yet extra ordinary now, domestic helper in Dubai.

I am so behind in submitting mine please bear with me, it is just I am quiet so busy here for this past few days, my little one is still sick, actually until now. My husband and I decided to send her back to her Doctor by tomorrow. I am crossing my fingers that the Doctor would give us a medicine for her nose congestion and diarrhea, or change the anti-biotic he gave us, it seems like it is not effective after all, I would rather spend another bucks than to see my kid still suffering from fever.

Watching Imortal

I was not able to follow this series, either in TV or over the Internet for quiet a while now because of our hectic schedule from last month. And now since Mj is resting from her training yet, I have all the time today to watch my favorite series. I supposed to call some friends from the US but too bad I just finish watching now and it is time for us to sleep. Tomorrow, I would continue watching it again.

When I grow old

The other day, as I was waiting for the clinic to open so I could ask for a medical certificate from my eldest daughter’s pediatrician as requirement from school for her to have a special quizzes and assignments. I sat beside some old folks waiting for their doctor to arrive at the other clinic, the clinic was also close. One asked one patient if what she would do there, the old woman A said she needs to be back there so the Doctor could take out the machine on her chest; she said the machine was for her heart’s condition. The young woman told her that her Aunt, who sat beside me at that time, will be having a thorough check up for her heart. And she was confused why they required so many tests. The old woman A replied maybe because to know her heart condition, the young woman replied she only had a goiter and she just also had a cough, the old Woman A answered back maybe the goiter complicates her and that the heart should be check.

The old man who sat in my right side, interfere that is because we are ageing that’s why we need to get a complete check-up, the old man also had a rheumatism and he was also waiting for her doctor at the other clinic.

When we had some various discussions because later I was already batting in with their topic, I realized what illness should I have when I grow old, would that be rheumatism or heart failure? These old folks seem like telling us that we should get ready because even how healthy we are now, we still could get complications when we aged. Maybe because of our lifestyles or the food that we eat, we do not know and that only GOD knows.

Finally using my Magic Jack

Finally, I am using my magic jack. I could call anytime in the states for free!

It has been a while since I haven’t used it and you know why? It was because my Internet was so slow, I tried it before, I called my husband phone and we could not hear each other or sometimes it always cutting out. So I stopped it for a moment until my ISP technicians went here and adjusted my antennae. It suddenly get so fast thus tonight I tried to plug in my magic jack and dialed my husband’s number and voila we hear each other perfectly clear. It was like I am calling him local, so my friends from the US, only those who have given their numbers. I would call you in due time.

Teenage Pregnancy

My eldest daughter tends to open up everything for me, I am so contented with that and hoping that she would forever, continue to open up everything with me as I never did to my love one's when I was her age. I tend to keep those things, all by myself or would tell it to some of my close friends.

The other day, before she had a fever, she told me about what was her teacher told them, it was about the high school third year student who just got pregnant in their school. When she told me about this, she suddenly asked about pregnancy and what would that student do with it. She was even asked me, isn't she still so young to have a baby.

Of course, no one has to blame for what happen to her, maybe just maybe her parents have lack of communication towards her daughter so this thing happens or maybe her parents were too busy at work, and she was not able to look after her, or maybe her parents were so strict so she was rebellious and that she did this thing. I am not sure anymore. Perhaps, we just have to accept her and support her pregnancy because no matter whom we point who's to blame, or whatever arguments they had, it is already too late to fix what has been done.

When Mj brought this topic to me, I was stunned; I don't know what to say then after a few moments. I began to tell her what would be the circumstances when young girls get impregnated or even got pregnant before marriage. I don't want to play clean here, it is just I don't want her to repeat the same history again. As long as I could, I want her and Faith to settle first or get married first before they will have their own child because that's one good thing I never done. But anyway, no one knows what happen in the future right; I am just a Mom who wants the best for their kids. And for me, education, career and marriage first before getting pregnant are the most and the best thing they should do.

Proper discipline and open communications towards your kids would be one of the basics we, parents, should impost and the latter will follow. How about you guys? Do you have anything to share, some tips perhaps so we can avoid them for teenage pregnancy?

Minimizing The Joint Pains

One of the parents from the swimming venue suffers from arthritis. She always complained about it especially when the weather is too cold, it is so painful that sometimes it is hard for her to stand up. As I was browsing the Internet a while ago, I have learned that a knee sleeves could help her for extra support to minimize the joint pains. I believe she doesn't know about this because she just went to spa for them to massage her legs or joints. Too bad I can't recommend her now to use that because Mj is still sick and I can't go to the venue so I could attain her needs. Although, today she is feeling better already, I just hope she would progress so I have some time to go to the mall or pay my contributions at the insurance company. And she could go to school tomorrow, since she needs to cope up with her lessons because it has been two days she was absent from her class.

Pony Bag

Last week, I finally bought a new bag since my old bag was retiring at all. It took me a while to choose what bag should I picked since I only buy bags like if the one I am using is damaged at all. I tried to weigh whether to buy a not so expensive yet the quality won't last or the expensive one but that would last a lifetime well, not a last time but at least two or three or even 5 years. So with the help of my friends I choose the Pony bag.

Consumers got no options

I am using my USB Smart Bro right now, you know why? It is because my Internet connection has no connection at all. I am so pissed off right now, but no, I don't like to be mad as this moment because I got so many reasons to be joyful and hoping it would be all the year round.

Hence, I still called them this morning and said that the cause of my intermittent was the antennae itself. The customer representative said they would send a technician tomorrow morning. You know, consumers doesn't have enough options for this, we pay them right but still we cannot get enough what is right for us. It is so unfair, I know and if we won't pay them they would charge us that big and they will not stop to bug us over the phone, informing us to pay the overdue bills. We cannot even get a discount when we encountered disconnection or unjustifiable service.

Oh well anyway, enough of that. How I just wish that some other Internet Service Provider would serve their consumers the right way.

I don't wonder why some consumers got freaked out over the phone, complaining about their service.

Body Art

There are times we are so quick on deciding things around without considering the consequences ahead, it’s either we can live with it or not. There are some people out there who are so withdrawn for their feelings towards the one they love and so they have tattooed the name of their boyfriends or girlfriends in some part of their bodies without thinking they are not for last, so they tried hard to remove it. Some years ago, it is hard for us to just get rid of it; some would suffer so much pain just to remove the mark from their bodies. But nowadays, I heard that it is so easy to remove tattoo at all, you don’t have to scream your lungs out just to vanish the mark. Well, as for me I still don’t agree of any tattoos in my body, I always kid my friends if I would do it, I want it in my forehead, so it is visible for everyone to see it. Of course I was just kidding, but I respect those people who have that, it is some kind of body art that we should appreciate.

A Hanging End

I am done watching the series entitled “The Walking Dead”.

Well it was so hanging because it didn’t end the nice way, like the one that the audience always wanted the happy ending. Sheriff Rick still didn’t know the affair of his wife and his best friend and the laboratory that they went, the laboratory where he thought, it could help them find what’s the cure of the virus, it exploded because of the time device they put in there, in case the one who left could not get the right antidote for the virus that has been attacking the people few months back. Although the assistant scientist, the one who was left in the laboratory whispered him something that might be the answer for their hopes and longing to be in a safe place.

Now, I just hope that the ANC will do the next series fast, so we could watch it very soon. I want to know what happen to the Morgan’s, the father and the son whom Rick left in his house. I hope they are alright and would see Rick in due time. And is Jim turn out to be a Zombie? Well, I wished he was alright under the tree and that Rick and his group could find treatment for Jim becoming a Zombie.

Lastly, how I wish their trip going to the place where the Scientist whispered to Rick, will be no hassle and that they could not encounter groups of walking dead along the way.

Any treatment for a broken heart?

What if you would fall in love with someone who is already married and you didn’t know? What would be your reaction then?

What if you only found out that he is married when you are already pregnant? Certainly, it feels like the whole world is tumbling down on you, after all the promises that he would give you his world, he will just left you in nowhere because of the fact that he can never be yours.

To make it worst, what if you already gave in to his demands then you found out later he has genital infections and you could never find him because he just left you. Good thing, with our new high technology, you can easily find the fast effective herpes treatment online but is that enough for you to move on? Well, at least you will be cure with that treatment you just have to choose which one is best right?

What about the pain and the broken heart he has caused you? Is there’s a treatment for that?

You might want to wish that there’s an ointment to just heal the wounds so fast. Like in just a matter of hours you will feel suddenly alright but sad to say there’s none and sometimes it would take more and more years to heal the wounds but definitely not the scars.

Just like me, she also loves taking pictures such as foods, streets, flowers, and this one was my favorite. If you are tired just drink a glass of water, then all your tiredness will be swept away. LOL

Reputable and will always be there

Winter weather brings accidents in the U.S. and so do crazy taxi drivers. One thing I worry about when I learn how to drive are other drivers. I am used to being a passenger and taxi drivers here can really make me mad about the way they drive. I know that having insurance is important. There are a lot of advertisements for cheap car insurance, but I want to know when I purchase it that the insurance company I am purchasing my car insurance from is reputable and will be there for me if I am involved in an accident. Cheap car insurance may sound good and it is good if the company you choose will stand behind their policy.

Ruby Tuesday # 37: Chinese Calendar

It has been days already that we don’t have a new calendar for this year. I thought to just wait for some company or sponsors to hand me just one calendar but unfortunately there were none. So as I could no longer wait for them, I bought one Chinese Lucky Calendar as they call it. I hope I could get lucky this year; perhaps to win a mega lotto would be enough.

PBWeekend : Birthday Bash on December

This was the birthday bash on December just before Christmas. The kids enjoyed the birthday party although they were all tired from the training. Yes, they had to swim for two hours before they could have a blast at the party; it was their coach birthday party. One parent also celebrated her birthday together with the student’s coach.

The Perfect Christmas Gift

I am so happy that my nephew loves the gift I gave him on Christmas; actually I just gave him money since he is no longer enjoying playing cars or robots and when I asked his Mom, she said he wants a bike.

I didn't put the exact amount of the bike in that Chinese thing envelop. I told his Mom, she could add some so they could buy the bike that he wants.

His Mom agreed.

It was such a blessing that the amount I gave him was enough to buy him the gift that he wanted. The mall had a 50% off for that BMX bike.

He was so happy that he was able to have the greatest dream of his life and I am glad that his Mom doesn't have to add for them to buy it.

Nothing looks better to me than when my husband wears a suit. I like the way he looks in a coat and tie. He has a few ties, but I would like to be the one who chooses all of them. It’s not that he does not have nice ties, it is just that he does not like shopping for clothes and things for himself. His ties are just old and many of them are no longer stylish. I am sure skinny ties look good and would certainly work for him when he needs to wear them.

The wide variety of styles and fabrics are something else I need to consider when I get him a tie. I think that I can make much better choices than he would. After all, we girls have much better fashion sense than our men do. What do you think?

I do not wear a lot of Jewelry, nor do I wear it very often. But, when I do wear Jewelry I want to make sure it has good quality and workmanship. I have my wedding and engagement rings that I love and wear always but there are times that I would like to accent them by wearing a little more. Nice cubic zirconia rings for an accent that definitely help show off your true diamonds. If you have a good quality cubic zirconia ring it will take an expert to know it is not a real diamond.

Attractive, Comfortable and A Safe Clean Place

When thinking of modernizing my home, I must update not only the paint scheme, bathroom and kitchen fixtures and wall treatments, but I must also consider new furniture. Our current furniture is still serviceable, but sometimes, I think you need to change to when you change your home’s décor.

A modern furniture will certainly work in an older home. In my case it will make my older home look newer and give it a sense of freshness. Though still serviceable, my old furniture has certainly seen better days. I do enjoy planning what to do to my home to make it attractive, comfortable and provide a safe clean place for my family.

Feeling Guilty

We just arrived from the training; it was the birthday of my co-parents. She invited us for pizza after the kids were done their training. Now I am so full and we went home so late already. I felt pity for sister Merlyn because that means she would be home so late as well, although I enjoyed munching the biggest pizza ever, I still feel so guilty arriving home so late.

Although I promised myself to sleep early every night but not this time I have to wait for Mj to finish her worksheet in Math since she will be attending her Math and English at Kumon tomorrow. I feel guilty of not making my promise to sleep early but I can't just leave her here in the living room doing all her worksheets alone. However, among this feeling guilty that happens today, I still have something to celebrate somehow and that is because my camera is functioning perfectly now. I thought it could be no longer used yet I still waited for how many days for it to dry from dipping in the water last week. Thank GOD when I tried it today, it is working perfectly alright.,

Top 10 EC Droppers for December

My youngest daughter woke up all so sudden at 1:00 a.m., and cried so hard. I thought she was just having a nightmare, so I told her to lay her head in my tummy as she always used to but every time she moves, she would cry very hard. So I got up and asked her what hurts her but she didn't answer, instead she would cry so hard. I called my husband for him to talk to her but it didn't help after all, so I put menthol oil in her tummy, she would get settle for like 15-30 minutes then she would wake up again, so I massage her back and her tummy all night long. She was finally settled around 3:30 a.m.

Well, enough of that, this time I have to give way for my top EC droppers for the month of December. Hats off to you all guys!

Watery Wednesday # 7: Hill Top

Hill top was where our room located at the resort we went to on New Year. It is the most affordable we can get compared to other rooms. Although it was a lot cheaper, it was indeed the right spot to view the beach and the island in front. So if you want to have a little vacation at Pearl Farm it must be a good idea to get the hill top rooms.

First, I want to apologize of the poor result of my picture today, our camera fell into the pool when we had our short getaway on New Year. Perhaps, we just got so excited and that Mj did not noticed she dropped it in the pool.

When we arrived at the receiving area going to Pearl Farm, we went inside their restaurant, where Faith was so stunned because they arranged the place so well and it was indeed pleasant to the eyes she even exclaimed "amazing" While we were waiting for our ferry boat to get us to the other island, we had a fun time having light lunch, Faith and sister Merlyn has her rice and spareribs, I only had a glass of juice and Mj only ate some pancakes.

Here we are, waiting for our order to be serve for us, while we were waiting for our ferryboat to arrived.

I am so tired, we went home at 3:00 p.m., with all the fun we had with my kids now it's time for us to snore so early.
