PB Weekend # 7: Birthdays

Last November 19 I attended a birthday party of my friend Cheryl, it was a simple celebration, her friends from the call floor came over, her friends from the church arrived too and your's truly.

On November 23, one of my sister's closest friends here in our subdivision invited us for her son's birthday party. Sister went there first and we just followed, Faith meet a friend on our way there and when we arrived at their house, she was giggling with too many kids playing in the front yard.

Came November 29, sister's turn to spend some bucks for her son's birthday party, relatives came over and their friends, we had a blast! And sad to say I am out of diet again, I can feel my pants tightened in my waist again, I need to exert more effort to exercise and lose weight, how I wish I could do that with just one blink of my eye, indeed a cat makes life fun.

Bag Shopping

It was last month, during my birthday after I purchased something for me, my baby Faith was also busy with shopping some bags, lol nope, she was not shopping she actually grabbing those bags and wanted to take it home.

My baby is growing up so fast, she could relate to us now because she could utter some words perfectly already so it is easy for us to understand her, she is such a sweet girl too although there are times that she is so demanding and trying to manipulate all the things she want but she is such a cute baby when she said "Mama oi"

Terry, on the other hand wanted Faith to speak in English and asked me to do so for her to understand her Daddy, don't get me wrong I am talking to her in English sometimes but what can I do to train her that much while her surrounding speaks in our native language all the time. So I guess Daddy have to sway with the flow and should learn how to speak our native tongue, hahaha!

Couple's Corner : Misunderstanding

In our three years being together, I could only remember one misunderstanding that for me it was really a big issue, it was when we agreed he would come on March this year to arrange our wedding supposedly on June, he did not came because he had a bronchitis and if the fever would continue it would fall into Pneumonia, I even argue him being sick when his flight is approaching but there is no one to be blame, nobody wanted him to be sick like that.

But this is only I could proud of about my husband because he never argue with me, whatever I tried to push him to fight back he won't do it, he sometimes said sorry why this thing happens and that was not resolved as soon as possible, Terry and I, is so mismatch, I am aggressive when it comes to decision making, I want this and that to settle fast while he is taking it step by step, he want to assure that, things are alright before making any decisions.

The CNN Hero

Efren Penaflorida who started a ‘pushcart classroom’ in the Philippines to bring education to poor children as an alternative to gang membership, won the 2009 CNN Hero of the Year. I was stunned with the news in Yahoo yesterday, finally the voting was ended and Efren from the Philippines who got most of the votes from the worldwide.

PB Weekend # 6: Sandals

On the second thought, since I have new sandals given to me by our Ate Peng, I am joining today's Pixel Bug Weekend. I am not fond of shopping different sandals as most of the girls do, I am a type of girl that if I still have sandals to wear when I go out, I won't bother to buy one pair for me. In the contrary, if someone would give a pair of footwear for me, I will never say no, it’s a blessing and it’s not good if you refused it. So anyhow here is my pair of shoes that a family friend bought for me.

A Family Friend

A friend came over to the house just today and we had so much fun chit chatting about our whereabouts, they were a family friend and we live in the same roof when I was still in high school, we surely miss each other since it has been a while that we never seen each other. We had our lunch at home, my brother-in-law cook us his specialty the beef steak, but it was so funny because they requested a bagoong and a fish.

And because we were so excited and we laugh each other's joke, I forgot to take some pictures so I guess I have to pass the PB weekend by for today. It was funny because I didn't mind to finish my opp and when I open the paid site today, it was not offer to me anymore, well there is no price tag for having fun with someone you have missed, it is nothing compare the enjoyment you feel when you are just talking to them. I hope this reunion would happen again soon, probably on my nephew's birthday on November 29.

What's going on?

I am so disappointed this evening aside from I really wanted to sleep early so I could run my errand tomorrow morning, an opportunity offered to me. I immediately wrote it though that means I have to let Faith sleep at the same time, shaking her crib so she could go back to her slumber. It is so odd because after I submitted my post, it went back to "take this opportunity" status, as I thought it would allow me to submit it again, I click the status but to my disappointment, they put me back to que.

What's going on? Is there anyone here who experienced the same thing? If there is please tell me what to do to submit my post. I supposed to sleep 2 hours ago already but because of the offer I might have a very sleepy orientation tomorrow. Anyway, goodnight folks, I hope I could get a reply from customer love, aaargghhss!

How Much Help A Person Could Do To Make One Better

I used to hold my patience before when someone would argue with me, I used to just be silent when someone would hurt me by their words, I used to just sat down in the corner and let the time passes by when I was insulted. What gave me strength was that I know God was always with me and will shield my pain and disappointments.

Well, people are just radical, they would change, maybe because its time to defend oneself so to gain respect from the people around you. But some people don't understand that you have changed, the worst they would justify you are being the cold or the careless one. They didn't see what things that you have done because they want more and when you are restricting them of abusing you, they would think that you are not helping at all.

Now, I'm wondering how much help a person could do to get other people satisfied. How long could one be silent for this stuff so he could prove that he is a good person? What makes man a good person anyway? Is it doing nothing to defend himself or is it accepting all the hurting words you have thrown on him so to make you feel you are right?

Couple's Corner: First Year Of Being Married

Well, I just got married this year, so I guess I have to edit the title, I think it should be first week of being married because five days from the wedding was his flight back to US, the first week was good we had so much fun with the kids in the pool eventhough we found out that the toilet bowl that was broke charge us P8,000 pesos.

But even though we just got married yet we feel like we're married for three years from the day we met online especially the day when we saw each other in person, the thoughts of him, chatting me everyday or sending me a message in my phone while I was at work and on the day I delivered Faith, his very first new born baby. And even though we are only together twice every year his care and love were never ceased, I guess I am already spoiled by his being thoughtful and his never ending patience with my being so stubborn.

The Thoughts About Marriage

I was stunned with the news today, well it has been speculated even before the fight that Manny Pacquiao have an affair with a young actress name Krista Ranillo, I did not believe it as first because I thought that she is a conservative type of gal and she is too young yet to be involved with this issue. But when I watched the gestures of Jinky the wife of Manny in the TV while they had the thanksgiving Prayer in Vegas, she seemed like she doesn't want to be comforted with her husband when she cried during the sermon of the Priest.

I know, it is none of my business to give my opinion about the issue, it's their life anyway and I guess Manny had been married to his wife a long time now and even he was link to a lot of women, he remain at his wife side. But is that really what marriage has to be? Though you had been betrayed several times as long as your husband is in your side, you just keep your mouth shut and won't give a damn to investigate if he is really involved with another woman? Isn't it marriage should be based by trust and loyalty? Without those two factors would you believe that your marriage still work? Marriage is full of trials and tests but it cannot cope alone when the two of you is not working to make the marriage a successful one, how long should one endure all the pain in silent when you know he is with another woman?

This issue reminded me of my sister's friend whom her husband had an affair with their helper at home, all the neighbors knew what her husband has been doing when she is out to work, but she remain blind and silent about it. She already had proofs that her husband was just trying to make a fool of her but she still love him, martyr as she was she even served him in the hospital until he died.

I Am So Full

I am so full and I feel like heavy yet I am still craving for food that my brother in law cooked tonight, he cooked the simple paksiw but it turned out so tasty and yummy. I wished not to take our dinner but who can resist the smell of this food?

I wanted to eat more, but when I looked at my tummy, it is already bulging out, I need to stop very soon before it would explode, the firmer is beside me but I am doubting to wear it since I am sure I could not breath the firmer restraint on my abdomen. How I wish the gym is near our house so I could go there everyday and or anytime I want, I might have a slender body at this moment.

Off To School

Exam is again fast approaching I have to be hurry now to go to school so I could also catch up with Mj's lunch time, and pay the tuition fee as well. I also have to drop by at my niece so I could pay her tuition as well.

And when I get back, I would take my afternoon nap, I can't wait to have that since I was not able to take a nap yesterday due to the fact that Kuya James is watching the Pacman's fight with Cotto, I could hear him screaming for excitement, so I decided to watch TV with him and sister Irenie, though we already knew he would won because I have read it in Facebook congratulating Pacman's success in defeating Cotto, and yeah he eventually won at 12 rounds, congratulations Pinoy!

So anyway I have to go now and see you in my other blogs later!

PBWeekend # 6: Be Prepared

Be Prepared:

Can you tell yourself you are prepared and is ready now for the world to end, what if tomorrow comes and you are already surrounded by flood and there is nothing to cling on for yourself to be saved.

That was the homily of the priest yesterday, right after I attended the meeting at school, we headed to the church nears at my niece school, we did not went to mall since I am so tired and I slept again last night.

Moving on, it is in the book of Mark: Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass.


So when he said he would be back in the time that we won't know, is your faith ready to receive his righteousness? I cannot say I am because I am concerned of my kid’s safety, how could I save them while you cannot even save yourself? I know if we have a faith we will never go wrong, we will all be saved. I hope I know when would be the end of time so I can be more prepare, but God only knows when is the time and when that time comes, I wish I could say "Yes I am ready"

Great Family Bonding

Yesterday, I noticed that the bike of my eldest daughter was stored only at the back of our house, Mj asked me to have the wheels repaired, it need some air. But I was so lazy to send it to repair shop and now I noticed that it got stained at all.

She only used the bike for two days after I bought it but because sister was also using it, the wheels got damage that instant and I forgot to send it immediately to the repair shop, Mj was bugging me about it but she stopped since I always said later, I might have it repair one of these days. I might buy a beach cruiser bike for me too so Mj and I will have a little bonding through biking at the beach, if Faith will know how to bike soon, I would also buy one for her and altogether, we will go biking, and that would be a great family bonding.

A Bit Busy Yesterday

Mj and I were a bit busy yesterday, we woke up early in the morning to attend supposedly the orientation in Kumon Tutorial for math and reading, since Mj is a bit ok with Math we have to concentrate on her English comprehension, sure she knows how to read but sometimes she cannot understand what she reads.

We went to her school first to get her report card, and she improves with the subjects that I kept on reprimanding her about, I thought I would problem the same subjects again but thank God it was not, though she was struggling with Filipino. Well, we just have to strive more not only with Civics and Science or Filipino but all of her subjects.

On the other hand, we were a bit late with the orientation but I was able to inquire with the schedules and some strong points that they have to motivate the kids, I would attend the orientation again on Friday for more information, I hope we can get the schedule that we want on the other center.

One Of The Closest I Have Now

It was Veteran's day in the US, and my husband was a bit late for our usual chat time on weekdays, I went out to pay my insurances and dropped by to my friend's house, we actually agreed to have fun with videoke. My other friend came a little bit late since she worked at night time, she was the one who hosted my wedding day, actually all the big event that occurs in my life, from the thank you party down to the big event that just happen this year.

Needless to say, she is always there for me to turn my simple party to a great one, with her beautiful voice that captures the heart of my visitors, I have nothing to ask for. She is always the great singer for me, my all time favorite and I am just so lucky that she is also my friend, one of the closest I have now.

I Will Be Back

I have promised hubby that I have to minimize in using my computer and would concentrate on Mj's study, and Faith. I have to really help her especially in Civics and Science since it is the most difficult subjects for her. I have a tutor for her but I think if you won't make a follow up on her studies, it would also be wasted.

I also visited the Kumon Tutorial for Math and Reading today too and I have to go for orientation this coming Saturday at 10:00 a.m., so maybe right after I would get the report card of Mj, I would attend the orientation, the enrollment is quiet expensive and the fee every month has the same cost with her tuition fee, but well, we have to close our eyes with that since I guess she really need more assistance.

As I really want to stay here and read all your post but I just can't she is done with her dinner now and I have to review all the subjects that she and her tutor discussed this afternoon, as well I have to see her lessons today. I will be back when we're done.

Couple's Corner # 5: The Day We Said I Do

It was January of this year that we decided not to pursue with the fiancée visa and would marry here instead, so when he came here on April, we immediately started the preparation. We paid half of the total cost for our reception, we had our interview at the church and paid the whole amount, we also paid some of our entourage and etc., when he went back to the US, if I earned some from blogging, I would deposit it to some of our suppliers. It is not that he won't give me money for that but I was the one who insisted on paying for it, so for me to feel that I am not useless and I contributed some.

Moving on, it was like three weeks to go before the wedding, my friend Clarinda was bugging me what were the things that I already done for the big event, as I was busy farming at that time in my Facebook account, I asked her to wait, when I am done harvesting some crops, I answered her rapidly that I have done nothing yet, except with deposits and all stuff but with calling some suppliers or what other things to prepare like giveaways, invitation cards, hair clips, jewelries, candles, those were out of my mind. So she has to bug me over and over again for me to stop what I was busy with.

On the other hand, when everything was set and I was just waiting for Terry to arrive on September 6th, just 4 hours to go before his flight, he was asked by his boss to postpone his trip because something happened in the office. He called me then and told me about his situation, I was like what? I can't process the license without him and it is supposed to be 10 days before we can't get it and submit it to the church. I was upset, I really didn't like to talk to him that night, I even told him to call me after he got his problem settled. But during that time, a friend of mine popped out in my mind, and I know she can help me with my problem.

Moving on, Terry made it one week before our wedding and we were so busy sending our invitations out to my friends, we've met the florist, we had a meeting for the reception in charge, and we have to buy some other things for the groomsmen and all that stuff. Later did I know, I was already worn out and so stressed that I got some allergies in my face, it was too late to treat that because the wedding would already be set by tomorrow.

To make the long story short, all went well and after like two days after the wedding, my allergies were gone.

Getting Fat And Ugly

That is what I told my hubby, I am getting fat and ugly and so bored here at home, not to mention that it is so hot in here in our place, I even could compare it to a desert. I can't turn the aircon on not until the other bedroom is not using the aircon anymore; our electricity bill is already up to my neck at all.

I took a nap this afternoon when I can't bear my headache anymore, I noticed lately if I would stay long hours at my other computer in the kitchen, I would be so tired and would get a sudden headache. Though I just had my bathe, I immediately hit the bed to rest myself from the cyber world. I woke up with Faith's voice, she tried to imitate my sister's words in the other bedroom, they were reading the ABC, Faith could utter some words like Octopus, Umbrella, Flower, Butterfly although she can't speak it out properly, I had fun listening to how she spoke those words. When I went out in the bedroom, Kuya James cooked some snacks and you know what it was? It was the mouth watering "Minatamis" so I took some and didn't notice I already ate a lot. My back is aching, I think I needed to get some exercise or go back with my aerobics exercise, perhaps twice a week would help me to get over with fats and be slim once again.

PB Weekend : The Usual Weekend

We had a great weekend, I must say, my friend invited me to go to their house to videoke on Saturday but we ended up just chitchatting about things and stuff, I brought Mj with me and so she had fun playing with her two nieces. On our way home since sister's house is just also inside that village, we dropped by and see my other niece, my sister is in our house, looking after Faith. My eldest daughter had sometime talking to her favorite cousin Dodong and her Ate Moreen, since they are alone at home, and it was almost dinner that we went there, I gave them money for their dinner, Moreen is 14 years old and sure she can handle things already inside the house, just like what I was before, my sisters since we don't have parents gave me the task to man the house and do the cleaning and laundry.

Came Sunday, I prepared the kids for church and they were so happy, my youngest daughter even kissed me on our way to the church. Faith can't be still during mass, she wanted to roam the area or swing herself in the railings, the man on our side couldn't believe that she can handle herself well in the railings although I was there to hold her other arm but she protested and doesn't want me to hold her. After church, we went to the mall for lunch then we headed to the grocery to buy some snacks for Mj at school.
